Job Description
As our Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance, presentation, safety and operational integrity of the hotel. You'll lead maintenance planning and preventative maintenance programs, manage contractors, oversee compliance requirements, and work closely with leaders across the hotel to ensure our facilities remain safe, functional and guest-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the maintenance and engineering operations across the hotels to ensure a safe, compliant and well-presented environment for guests and team members.
- Manage preventative maintenance programs, repairs, asset upkeep and building services to maintain operational excellence.
- Manage external contractors and service providers, overseeing contractor engagement, performance and compliance, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time and to the required standard.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety, WHS, statutory maintenance and regulatory requirements.
- Manage departmental budgets, expenditure and maintenance projects while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead, coach and develop the maintenance team, fostering a positive culture and high performance.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with great leadership and communication skills.
You'll ideally bring:
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Manager, Chief Engineer or similar leadership role
- Experience within hotels, hospitality, facilities management or a comparable environment
- Strong knowledge of building services, plant and equipment maintenance
- Experience managing contractors and compliance obligations
- Understanding of fire safety systems and statutory maintenance requirements
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- The ability to build positive relationships across all departments
