• Assist the Cluster IT Manager to plan, direct and control all day-to-day information systems functions.
• Ensure to assist the Cluster IT Manager to plan and approve equipment and software purchases related to systems (operating systems, related software, storage devices, etc.).
• Analyze user needs & establish trends.
• Ensure that all personnel are kept well informed of department’s objectives and policies.
• Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with all the departments.
• Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Identify optimal, cost effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.
• Conduct periodic and annual inventory audits of the equipment & recommend replacement of equipment if required, to the Cluster IT Manager.
• Ensure that all software licensing laws are adhered to.
• Ensure the smooth running of all systems, including anti-virus software, printer and e-mail facilities.
• To install computer systems, ensure that back up systems operate effectively, enable technology support for all departments and contribute to organizational policy with regard to quality standards.
• Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of the hotel to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
