Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and service-focused Duty Manager to join our Front Office leadership team.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be the key point of contact on shift, ensuring smooth daily operations across reception, reservations and guest services. You’ll lead by example, supporting the team to deliver seamless, personalised experiences from arrival through to departure.
Working in a fast-paced boutique environment, you’ll balance operational leadership with guest engagement, helping to create a warm and memorable stay experience for every guest.
In this role, you will:
- Lead daily front office operations as shift leader across all guest touchpoints
- Support and coach the team to deliver consistently high service standards
- Manage guest feedback and service recovery with confidence and care
- Oversee reservations accuracy and support revenue performance
- Ensure clear communication and coordination across hotel departments
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative and guest-focused team culture
- Assist with rostering and day-to-day operational planning
- Provide flexible support across hotel operations when required
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- 2–4 years’ experience in hotel operations with leadership exposure
- Strong passion for hospitality and delivering standout guest experiences
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Calm, adaptable and solution-focused approach in a busy environment
- Working knowledge of PMS systems (Opera Cloud or similar preferred)
- Availability for a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
