Novotel Glasgow is looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen brigade.

Our kitchen supports a busy restaurant, conference and events operation, room service, and regular tour group dining, making no two days the same.
Our kitchen delivers fresh, high-quality food across restaurant service, conferences, events and busy tour group operations. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Chef de Partie who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in consistently delivering excellent food at volume.

What You'll Be Doing
As Senior Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our busy kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef and senior team to deliver high-quality food across our restaurant, conference and events facilities, room service, and tour group dining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present fresh food to consistently high standards.
- Take responsibility for running your section efficiently during service.
- Produce a range of pastry and dessert items to specification and quality standards.
- Support the delivery of conference, banqueting and tour group catering operations.
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared and organised for service.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety standards at all times.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards.
- Support stock rotation, food storage and waste management procedures.
- Assist with ordering, stock control and inventory management when required.
- Work closely with the Head Chef in developing menus, daily specials and new dishes.
- Train, coach and support junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment.
- Contribute positively to a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Professional Cookery Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
- Experience working in a busy hotel, restaurant, banqueting or high-volume catering environment
- Strong pastry and dessert preparation skills
- Experience catering for large groups and high-volume service
- Excellent understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards
- Ability to lead a section independently and support junior team members
- Passion for fresh food, quality ingredients and high standards
- Strong organisational skills and ability to perform under pressure
Desirable
- Experience working with tour groups, conferences and events
- Experience training or mentoring junior chefs
- Knowledge of stock control and food cost management
