Job Description
- Prepare pastry doughs, batters, and fillings according to established recipes and procedures
- Assist in the production of cakes, tarts, pastries, and other baked goods with precision and consistency
- Maintain accurate measurements and follow recipes to ensure quality and uniformity across all pastry items
- Operate pastry equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and specialized pastry tools
- Organize and maintain the pastry station, ensuring all ingredients and tools are properly stored and accessible
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results
- Assist with pastry decoration, plating, and presentation to meet aesthetic standards
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in all pastry preparation areas
- Support the pastry team with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of pastry items to service
- Adapt to dietary requirements and allergen management protocols as directed
Qualifications
- Minimum Primary school education
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar capacity
- Oral proficiency in English language
- Service oriented with an eye for details
- Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
