Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager as part of our leadership team, you will be responsible for running the hotel’s Food & Beverage operation, including restaurant, bar, in-room dining and events. This hands-on leadership role is both operational and strategic, requiring someone who can balance service delivery with administrative responsibilities and collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities include:
- Hands-on operation of our F&B outlets, connecting with guests, and supporting your team to provide an exceptional level of service
- Coordination between the F&B team and other departments to ensure clear communication and effective problem solving to ensure guest satisfaction
- Ensuring the smooth running of conferences and events
- Rostering, coaching, cost control, inventory management and preparing reports for senior management
If you come from a background in restaurants or hotels, have a passion for creating memorable guest experiences and have experience in banqueting and/or bar operations, together with demonstrated leadership skills, we would love to hear from you.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop a diverse team
- Availability to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Handler qualifications
- Knowledge of H+L point of sale system would be an advantage
- Previous study in hospitality or tourism would be desirable but not essential. This position will provide a development platform to expand your knowledge and grow your skills in the hotel industry.
- As this is a full-time position, you must have full working rights in Australia. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
Additional Information
At least 2 years of experience in the same position in five-star hotels and international hotel chains
Must have spent at least 3 years in the same job in an international hotel chain
