Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee and support the day‑to‑day operations of our Food and Beverage team at Movenpick Hotel Auckland. This role is responsible for supervising service delivery, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high operational and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the day‑to‑day operations of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate team members on shift, ensuring adherence to service standards and procedures
- Ensure friendly and professional food and beverage service and experience is provided to all guests
- Act on guest feedback quickly and thoughtfully.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and service standards, maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented environment
- Train, coach, and develop team members to ensure high levels of product knowledge and 5‑star service delivery
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
- Support departmental financial performance, including assisting with stock management and upselling.
Qualifications
To be successful in your application, you must:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team leader role
- Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails.
- Duty Manager’s Certificate (required).
- Proven experience leading and supervising teams in a busy service environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work under pressure, make decisions independently, and resolve operational issues
- A genuine passion for people, food and the guest experience.
- Experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel environment (preferred)
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
