Job Description
Tierra Santa Healing House at Faena New York is preparing to open its doors and is building its founding team. Rooted in ancient healing traditions and modern wellness, Tierra Santa offers a holistic, guest-centered approach to well-being. The Spa Aesthetician is responsible for delivering high-quality skincare and facial treatments while creating a personalized, results-driven, and elevated guest experience. This role combines technical expertise with refined guest interaction, ensuring each treatment reflects Faena New York’s luxury wellness standards. The Spa Aesthetician serves as a trusted skincare professional, guiding guests through treatments, product recommendations, and aftercare with confidence and care.
This position has an hourly compensation of $20 per hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform all facial and aesthetic services in accordance with spa protocols and service standards
- Conduct detailed skin consultations to assess concerns, goals, and sensitivities
- Customize treatments to meet individual guest needs while maintaining consistency with the spa menu
- Educate guests on skincare routines, product usage, and post-treatment care
- Deliver elevated, attentive service that fosters trust, relaxation, and results
- Support VIP guests and bespoke skincare experiences when requested
- Ensure all treatments are performed with precision, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Maintain consistent service timing and flow
- Uphold hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards at all times
- Follow all protocols related to equipment, devices, and product usage
- Prepare, stock, and reset treatment rooms before and after each service
- Monitor product usage and communicate inventory needs to leadership
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and back-of-house spaces
- Assist with service recovery by addressing guest feedback professionally and promptly
- Collaborate with spa leadership and colleagues to ensure seamless daily operations
- Participate in training, education sessions, and brand updates
- Uphold Faena’s standards of professionalism, discretion, and guest care
- Represent the spa with poise, knowledge, and integrity
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Esthetics License (required)
- 2–4 years of professional aesthetics experience, preferably in a luxury spa or hotel environment
- Proficiency in facials, extractions, peels, and advanced skincare techniques
- Experience with luxury skincare brands and devices preferred
- Strong understanding of skin anatomy, conditions, and ingredients

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
- Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
