Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and decisive **Security Manager** to lead our security operations in Baghdad, Iraq. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the cornerstone of our organizational safety and security infrastructure, ensuring the protection of our assets, personnel, and operations while maintaining a professional and collaborative environment. You will combine strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, balancing vigilance with operational efficiency to create a secure workplace where everyone can thrive.

  • **Lead Security Operations** – Oversee all security operations including access control, surveillance systems, patrols, and incident response protocols to ensure comprehensive protection of organizational assets and personnel
  • **Develop and Implement Security Protocols** – Design, establish, and maintain security procedures and policies aligned with company standards and local regulatory requirements in Baghdad, Iraq
  • **Conduct Risk Assessments** – Perform regular and thorough risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend proactive solutions
  • **Manage Incident Response** – Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and crises; document all occurrences with accuracy and transparency
  • **Lead and Develop Security Team** – Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise security personnel to ensure consistent performance standards, accountability, and professional growth
  • **Ensure Compliance** – Monitor adherence to health, safety, and security regulations; maintain documentation and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies
  • **Coordinate Cross-Functional Collaboration** – Work closely with operations, human resources, and facility management teams to integrate security seamlessly into daily organizational activities
  • **Manage Security Budget and Resources** – Oversee budget allocation, vendor management, and procurement of security equipment and services to optimize operational efficiency
  • **Investigate Security Matters** – Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches, thefts, or policy violations with objectivity and discretion
  • **Emergency Planning and Drills** – Develop and execute emergency response plans, conduct regular drills, and ensure all personnel understand evacuation and crisis procedures
  • **Maintain Security Systems** – Ensure proper maintenance, updates, and optimization of security technology and systems

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Experience:**

  • Proven security management experience in corporate or organizational environments
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and develop diverse security teams
  • Calm, composed demeanor with the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security systems, access control, surveillance technology, and emergency procedures
  • Expertise in risk assessment, threat analysis, and security compliance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Hands-on operational approach with active field presence and engagement
  • Experience in incident investigation, documentation, and reporting
  • Proficiency with security management software and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of local security regulations and requirements in Baghdad, Iraq
