Job Description

  • Proposes and maintains minimum requirements in all workspaces, stores, receiving, and waste disposal areas to ensure that needed hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Liaises with external agencies (labs, government agencies, etc.) on sanitary matters, and manages the segregation, storage, and timely removal of all waste – recycles, hazardous, and confidential waste streams.
  • Conducts regular inspection of food receiving, preparation, storage, and service areas to identify and correct any food safety and hygiene issues, and handles internal food safety audits.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or related studies is an asset.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in food safety, quality assurance or HACCP management in a luxury hotel. 
  • HACCP & Food Safety certifications is a strong advantage.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
