Our Hotels

The Sydney Boulevard Hotel is a classic establishment near Sydney’s CBD, boasting 275 well-appointed guest rooms, 2 food and beverage outlets, and 11 function rooms.

Bayview Geographe Resort is located in Busselton, WA. Surrounded by whispering peppermint trees and fringed by the white sand shores of Geographe Bay, Bayview Geographe Resort combines secluded private villas with sociable, family-friendly facilities.

This role will be based in Sydney and work across both properties.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team and help ensure guest requirements are always met with the delivery of exceptional service.

Job Description

What you will be doing/ Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Sales & Marketing to maximise the hotel’s market position and revenue performance
  • Drive business across corporate, events, groups, and conference segments
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimise pricing, yield, and RevPAR
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting key accounts and new business opportunities
  • Monitor team performance using CRM systems and ensure strong pipeline activity
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns to maintain market share
  • Identify and secure major business opportunities and partnerships
  • Oversee effective management of business mix to achieve optimal profitability
  • Strengthen relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and industry partners
  • Drive initiatives such as corporate entertaining and joint ventures
  • Lead integrated marketing strategies to grow brand awareness and demand
  • Ensure brand integrity and consistency across all channels
  • Drive digital, e-commerce, and online distribution strategies
  • Develop campaigns and storytelling initiatives that enhance the hotel’s profile
  • Partner with Food & Beverage teams to drive outlet revenue through targeted promotions
  • Build strong relationships with media, journalists, and industry stakeholders
  • Lead award submissions and industry recognition initiatives
  • Produce and present monthly sales and marketing performance reports
  • Track ROI on campaigns, key accounts, and initiatives
  • Monitor forecasts, market share, and business trends
  • Maintain strong follow-up systems to convert leads and re-engage lapsed business
  • Contribute to the annual business plan and budgeting process
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure cost control
  • Evaluate the financial impact of all commercial activities
  • Oversee supplier relationships, ensuring clear objectives and ROI
  • Implement processes that support revenue growth and operational efficiency

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or Hospitality.
  • Minimum 5+ years of proven Sales & Marketing Hotel experience with a strong understanding of online distribution, e-commerce and digital marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of local businesses and industry trends
  • Experience managing costs, hit budgets and monitoring reports and plans
  • Experience with driving comprehensive marketing strategies and setting clear goals
  • Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite and dedicated sales, revenue, and distribution platforms.  Knowledge of Ivvy and Opera Cloud is desirable.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders with an ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments. 
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop and inspire teams.
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship, and networking skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to make sound decisions and understand commercial implications.
