Job Description
Lead Bartender
As the Lead Bartender in our Mallard Lounge, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and flavors that are hallmarks of our restaurant experience, training new staff members, managing inventory and stock, and leading the bar team through service.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Starting Rate of Pay: $19.60 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $27.25.
Job Duties Include:
- Train all staff members in beverage preparation procedures, including cocktails and mocktails, as well as follow up and coaching
- Manage all bar and liquor inventory, ensuring all items delivered by Stores has been accounted for and labeled appropriately, and lead the bar's stock take
- Lead mixology classes for guests, seminars, internal events, and FAM tours
- Assist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Mix drinks and control the beverage stock as per guidelines
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
Qualifications
- Previous cocktail bartending experience in a Supervisory capacity
- WSET is an asset
- Experience leading mixology sessions
- Previous POS experience
- Serving It Right BC Certificate
