Talent Acquisition Manager
In Canada’s Western Mountain Region, our approach to Talent Acquisition begins with selecting the best candidates to join our team of service professionals, committed to providing exceptional and memorable moments. As Talent Acquisition Manager, your interpersonal and networking skills will develop an outstanding talent pool to ensure the hotel and region is appropriately staffed at all times with talented colleagues.
Salary Range: $77,000 - $85,000 gross annually, dependent on experience and education
Job Duties Include:
- Lead, manage, and execute, with a hands-on approach, the day-to-day recruitment activities, and lead the onboarding and pre-arrival process for all candidates and colleagues
- Ensure all Fairmont and Accor policies associated to recruitment, as well as legal regulations, are in compliance
- Support and develop two Talent Acquisition Coordinators
- Coach, support, and follow-up with department heads and hiring managers on recruitment methods, departmental interviews and applicable legislation
- Ensure clear communication and reporting processes with the Hotels operations and local P&C teams
- Oversee the request and approval of job requisitions
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the local job market to anticipate challenging vacancies, and utilize the most suitable candidate sourcing methods
- Lead bi-annual workforce planning, recruiting, and succession strategies and plans for the property
- Develop and facilitate recruitment training
- Work with the Regional Talent Brand Manager on planning content
- Research, plan, and participate in recruitment trips to key employment markets and partner schools
- Work closely with our Staff Housing department to ensure timely flow of information about new arrivals and available housing
- Create employment contracts for all leadership and salaried positions, and spot check hourly colleague level contracts
- Support hiring managers with negotiation of employment terms and conditions
- Attend panel interviews for Key Leadership positions
- Leverage all avenues of immigration and mobility programs to maximize the applicant pool
- Promote and champion the internal mobility program, both on-property and regionally
- Oversee the Temporary Foreign Worker immigration program
Qualifications
- Previous high-volume recruitment & HR experience required
- Minimum of 2 years’ leadership experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Canadian Immigration, the TFW Program, and PR process
- Operational experience in a hospitality setting is an asset
- CPHR Designation (or equivalent) is an asset
