Job Description

Fairmont The Red Sea is seeking a professional and customer-focused In Room Dining Order Taker to join our hospitality team in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be the voice of exceptional service, taking dining orders from our guests and ensuring a seamless culinary experience delivered directly to their rooms. You will play a vital part in creating memorable moments for our guests by providing personalized service, addressing special requests, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism that define the Fairmont brand.

  • Answer in-room dining calls promptly and professionally, providing guests with a warm and welcoming experience
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests, dietary requirements, and preferences are clearly documented
  • Provide knowledgeable menu recommendations and descriptions to assist guests in making informed dining choices
  • Process orders efficiently using the property's point-of-sale system and communicate order details to the kitchen and dining teams
  • Customize orders to accommodate guest preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions with attention to detail
  • Coordinate order timing and delivery schedules to ensure timely service to guest rooms
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy and professionalism, resolving issues promptly
  • Maintain organized records of orders and guest preferences to support repeat service excellence
  • Collaborate with kitchen, housekeeping, and room service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards while processing all orders

Qualifications

  • Proven customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality or food service environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferred
  • Strong phone etiquette and ability to build rapport with guests over the telephone
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately record complex orders
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and computer applications
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and composure during peak service periods
  • Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, menu items, and dietary requirements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and flexibility in addressing guest requests
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Professional demeanor and appearance consistent with luxury hospitality standards
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment
