Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Verify the quantity and quality of items received against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Reject or report damaged or incorrect items.
- Record all incoming items in the inventory system.
- Complete receiving reports (GRN – Goods Received Notes).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date receiving logs and records.
- Communicate discrepancies to Procurement or Purchasing departments.
- Coordinate with Warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
- Notify requesting departments when items are ready for pickup or storage.
- Update stock levels in the inventory system.
- Support cycle counts and stock audits when needed.
- Label received goods according to company standards.
- Follow company policies for handling, storing, and documenting goods.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in receiving areas.
Other Responsibilities
- Collaborate with drivers and suppliers to solve delivery issues.
- Ensure required documents (packing list, invoice, COA, etc.) are complete.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating deliveries.
- Support outbound shipments if required.
- File documents for audits and compliance.
- Assist the warehouse supervisor with ad‑hoc reporting.
- Perform routine checks on receiving equipment.
- Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
- Diploma education
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an office administrative role or 1 year of experience in a similar capacity
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
