SO/ Budapest will open towards the end of 2026 and our search for an experienced Director of Brand Marketing to join our team and play a crucial part in this successful opening begins.

Located in a prime position overlooking the iconic Chain Bridge and the Danube River, SO/ Budapest Hotel is a bold new addition to the city’s luxury hospitality scene. The hotel features 349 elegantly designed rooms and suites, complemented by a vibrant mix of dining and entertainment experiences. Guests can enjoy an all-day dining restaurant, a show-stopping rooftop bar with panoramic views, and extensive wellness facilities that offer a space for both relaxation and rejuvenation.

Designed with both leisure and business travellers in mind, the hotel also boasts state-of-the-art MICE facilities, making it a key destination for events, meetings, and social gatherings in the heart of the city.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

  • It goes without saying that you need to have a deep understanding of lifestyle communities. You will need to get under the skin of the brand and property to drive insightful ideas, partnerships and opportunities that build cultural relevance and authenticity.
  • We always balance the heart and the head, so you will work with our commercial teams to drive revenue, manage budgets, set metrics and assess data and effectiveness of plans.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive pre-opening marketing and PR campaigns to generate buzz and awareness, including partnering with creative agencies and internal teams to make this happen.
  • Develop and implement long-term marketing strategies, including supporting brand positioning efforts to differentiate the hotel in a competitive market.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment of all marketing initiatives and campaigns across digital, traditional and experiential channels as well as the digital landscape.
  • We are all about delivering the best hospitality for our guests. To do this you will work with our operations teams, defining the brand experience and standards and ensuring that they are brought to life at every guest touch point.
  • Position the brand effectively, maintaining consistency and a clear brand identity.
  • Drive brand-led positioning of all F&B concepts in close collaboration with the operations team, to make sure that our restaurants and bars are market relevant and profitable.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and creativity, leading and mentoring a marketing team.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for…

  • Strong brand marketing experience. Experience in hospitality isn’t a must, but we do want you to be genuinely interested in our industry; whether that’s a love for a delicious meal, a decent drink, a cozy bed or a travel adventure.
  • A passionate brand guardian who cares about every creative detail with no compromise.
  • A balance between a methodical, process and results driven approach and flexibility and creativity when it comes to juggling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines and finding solutions.
  • You are comfortable with the strategic as well as day to day detail.
  • You are an excellent relationship builder, confident in working with other teams, leaders and ownership; you’re passionate about what we can achieve together.
  • You want to question the norm and create change by doing things differently.
  • You’re grounded, we leave our egos at the door and approach everything with an open mind.
