Job Description

Food & Beverage Manager

What you will be doing:

  • Assist in the development of the Annual Business Plan and Financial Budget, use this as a guide to controlling expenditure during the financial year. 

  • Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for food and beverage outlets and revenue streams. 

  • Manage the restaurant, bar and room service, to ensure quality and efficient service and standards whilst delivering a memorable guest experience.

  • Review and analyse the daily operational needs maintaining beverage, labour, product and expenses on budget. 

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports, commenting on key performance indicators and action taken to keep on target. 

  • Recruit, manage, train, develop and inspire the Food and Beverage team. 

  • Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies. 

  • Keep up to date with Food Safety Programs. Maintain currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles.  

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of similar experience, ideally in the hotel industry. 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience.  

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business orHospitality preferred. 

  • Proven capability in creating a positive and productive work environment 

  • Excellent understanding of hotel systems and revenue management principles 

  • Experience writing and interpreting budgets, controlling payroll expenditure and managing the overall revenue and expenses of a department. 

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
