Job Description

ibis Sydney Barangaroo is seeking an exceptional Assistant Manager who loves people and is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences. This service-minded individual will join a small, engaged team, thriving in an environment full of growth and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support the daily operations of the hotel
  • Drive guest satisfaction and loyalty by innovating and continuously enhancing the quality of guest service
  • Take initiative to ensure every guest interaction is positive, professional, and productive
  • Actively resolve guest requests, complaints, and challenges in a timely and effective manner
  • Support team growth by providing guidance, recognizing contributions, and fostering learning and development
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all guests, patrons, and team members

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous Front Office and Food & Beverage managerial experience
  • A service-focused personality with proven leadership capabilities
  • Experience with Opera Cloud or a similar property management system
  • Ability to make independent and confident decisions
  • Strong leadership skills: lead by example, foster a positive team culture, and drive high performance
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform well under pressure
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid certificates
  • Full working rights in Australia
