Job Description
The Arabic Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Arabic cuisine with high culinary standards. The role includes menu creation, maintaining food quality, ensuring hygiene compliance, and training junior kitchen staff in traditional and modern Arabic cooking techniques.
Prepare and cook a wide range of Arabic dishes, including Gulf, Levantine, and North African specialties.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all dishes.
Develop and update menus featuring traditional and contemporary Arabic cuisine.
Create weekly specials and contribute to banquet/event menus.
Source and select high-quality ingredients, spices, and herbs essential for authentic Arabic cuisine.
Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Collaborate with the restaurant management team to optimize menu offerings and pricing.
Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with local health regulations.
Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff in Arabic cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and cultural significance of dishes.
Participate in food tastings, demonstrations, and culinary events to promote Arabic cuisine.
Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies while maintaining authenticity.
Stay updated on culinary trends and innovations in Arabic cuisine to incorporate into menu offerings.
