Job Description

Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha is seeking a skilled and versatile General Technician to join our team. As a General Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our facility's operations, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on various systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and kitchen equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment and systems as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement necessary safety measures to comply with regulations and prevent accidents.
  • Respond efficiently to emergency maintenance requests, working under pressure to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all technical systems and equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff members, offering training on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Interact professionally with guests when responding to maintenance requests in rooms or public areas.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth facility operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems commonly found in commercial facilities.
  • Proven experience in performing routine maintenance tasks and inspections in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols governing facility operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to install, configure, and calibrate various equipment and systems according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with staff, guests, and external contractors.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, etc.).
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
