Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for preparing and supervising the production of all bakery items such as breads, pastries, and cakes, ensuring high quality, consistency, and presentation standards in line with hotel or restaurant guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and bake various bakery items including breads, rolls, croissants, and pastries.

  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and consistency are maintained at all times.

  • Develop new bakery recipes and seasonal menu items.

  • Supervise and train bakery staff in proper techniques, safety, and hygiene standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area according to food safety standards.

  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively.

  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth operations.

  • Adhere to all hotel standards, policies, and HACCP regulations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Baker or Bakery Chef, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.

  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and equipment.

  • Creative and passionate about baking and presentation.

  • Good time management and leadership skills.

  • Diploma or certification in Bakery or Pastry Arts is an advantage.
