Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team in the beautiful resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our employees, guests, and contractors.
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and international standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across all areas of operation.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Design and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Manage emergency response planning and coordinate drills.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
- Stay updated on Egyptian labor laws, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Provide expert guidance to management on health and safety matters.
- Cultivate a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful safety programs.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in risk assessment and management.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing safety teams.
- Familiarity with Egyptian labor laws and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of international safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Native Arabic speaker and fluency in English language skills are highly desirable.
