Batman's Hill on Collins is a 4-star Accor hotel in Melbourne, offering an ideal city stay for corporate, leisure and group travel guests. We are conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, right opposite Southern Cross Station with easy access to public transport. Along with 190 guest rooms, we offer our guests and visitors a fully equipped conference centre with multiple function spaces, restaurant and lounge bar.

We are looking for experienced Room Attendants to join our team on a part-time basis, generally working between 20 to 25 hours per week. In this role, you will service and clean allocated hotel rooms to create a welcoming and well-presented space for our guests. This role is paid at the award rate of $25.85 per hour plus penalties on weekends and public holidays. 

Job Description

  • Clean guest rooms to the hotel's high standards
  • Ensure all rooms are fully stocked with guest amenities
  • Report maintenance requirements in guest rooms
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly
  • Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are followed

What we are looking for

  • You must be available to work up to 30 hours per week when required, on a rotating roster including weekends. We are particularly needing someone who can work on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • Good communication skills and able to work independently
  • Attention to detail, taking pride in the presentation of the hotel
  • Able to work in a physically demanding role which includes lifting and carrying, moving trolleys and using stairs
  • Experience in housekeeping is preferred, and hotel experience would be an advantage
  • You must have current working rights in Australia.  We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role. 

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role - we may ask you to complete a short skills assessment to demonstrate your suitability for the role
  • The ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining hotel standards
  • Physically able to meet the job requirements
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster
