Job Description
- Have knowledge of all of the units and services in the Spa Centre.
- Perform duties according to the practices and operational standards identified by the Recreation Manager.
- Approach guests in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Listen to guest requests and complaints, find solutions to complaints, if any, take measures to prevent such situations from recurring, and inform the Recreation Manager.
- Inform guests about the instructions to use the fitness equipment and the general rules applicable.
- Design a fitness programe in line with guest needs and demands and provide guidance.
- Keep track of the latest fitness trends and increase the service standards.
- Responsible for all maintenance and cleaning of the gym and for procuring and ensuring the availability of all types of supplies.
- Check the hairdressing salon one final time before admitting guests and ensure that the volume, lighting and temperature are at the desired level.
- See guests out in a respectful manner after the service is delivered.
- Deliver services according to the hotel rules and requirements of the code of conduct and without disturbing guests. In case of any contrary conduct, the employee’s work contract will be terminated unconditionally.
- Ensure that the gym is kept according to the standard concept layout and control and rearrange the area after the service is delivered.
- Check all of the equipment and décor at the end of the day, separate any broken equipment and send them to the Technical Service Department for repairs.
- Comply with the general rules of the hotel and Spa Centre.
- Perform other verbal and written orders issued by the Recreation Manager.
- Wear the standard service uniform and personnel name badge.
- Plan working hours as deemed appropriate by the Spa Manger. Work according to the weekly work schedule and hours.
- Attend trainings and the internal communication meetings of the department.
- To predict that all activities and to be purchased all equipment and belongings may create disease for the environment, to join all activities which is organized to protect biological diversity and shares the responsibilities, shares the individual responsibilities in order to increase environment knowledge and to carry on necessary trainings. To provide minimum consumption currently used all stuffs and equipment (paper, printed out etc.).
- To implement necessary warnings and departmental trainings in order to save energy inside the facility. To carry on implementing decisions which were taken for saving energy.
- Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented at the facilities.
- Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor`s Degree
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the spa industry.
- Foreign Language: Sufficient level of English and/or Arabic to communicate with guests.
- Courses and Training: Professional trainings and seminars. Certification in the related field.
- Computer Literacy: Not required.
- Skills: Detailed and comprehensive knowledge of systems/legislation in the related field.
