We are looking for a Full Time Food and Beverage Supervisor to work closely with our Food and Beverage Manager in leading our team to provide excellent service and create memorable moments for our guests. Bringing energy and attention to detail to this role, you will play a key role in driving revenue, guest sentiment and developing our team. As a full-time role, you will be paid the award rate of $29.88 plus penalty rates on weekends and public holidays.
Job Description
What you will be doing
- Provide and supervise food and beverage service to guests
- Lead and inspire our F&B team to deliver exceptional service and exceed guest expectations
- Maximise sales opportunities with recommendations and suggestions
- Solve problems with creativity and understanding
- Communicate with other departments to ensure the highest level of guest service is maintained
- Coach and develop team members to be their best, supporting learning and leading by example
- Being hands-on in the restaurant and bar, including setting up event spaces and delivering room service
What we are looking for
- Demonstrated experience in Food and Beverage, with conference and events knowledge highly desirable, and a minimum of one year in a leadership position
- Great communication skills & presentation and confidence to engage with guests and colleagues
- A genuine interest in food and beverage as well as in our local Melbourne area, and a drive to develop your career in hotels
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and inspire and support others
- Experience in a hotel environment will be an advantage
Qualifications
- The availability and flexibility to work a five day roster, including early mornings from 6 am, evenings to 10pm and on weekends and public holidays.
- Qualification in a hospitality related field would be an advantage
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Handler qualifications (or prepared to obtain)
- Knowledge of H+L point of sale system would be an advantage, however not mandatory as training will be provided
- You must have current working rights in Australia. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
