Job Description

ALL about the role

As Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of our entire finance function and be a trusted voice in hotel strategy. You’ll lead a capable, close-knit team while guiding key commercial decisions and ensuring financial compliance.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Full financial operations including P&L, forecasting, audits, and monthly reporting
  • Managing weekly payroll processing and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Partnering with department heads to analyse results and drive accountability
  • Maintaining internal controls and optimising efficiencies
  • Leading owner and Accor reporting and supporting budgeting cycles
  • Coaching and growing your team while shaping a culture of financial excellence

Qualifications

ALL about you!

You’re more than a finance expert - you’re a strategic thinker with commercial edge. You’re calm under pressure, curious by nature, and confident in a leadership seat. Your superpower? Making numbers tell a story and guiding decision-makers through it.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Are CPA-qualified with at least 5 years’ leadership experience in hotel, service, or asset-rich environments
  • Understand how finance drives performance and compliance
  • Have strong working knowledge of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award and other relevant industrial frameworks
  • Lead with integrity, and uplift your team through mentorship and clarity
  • Communicate financial insight clearly across stakeholders
  • Know your way around Sun, Opera Cloud and Accor systems (a bonus!)
  • Want to play a key role in something bigger than a spreadsheet
