Job Description
The Laundry/Uniform Attendant is responsible for the cleaning, pressing, sorting, and distribution of hotel linens and staff uniforms. This role is essential to the smooth operation of both front- and back-of-house service standards, requiring a meticulous eye, understanding of fabric care, and organized execution of daily laundry operations.
This is a full-time position with an hourly compensation rate of $35.00 an hour plus tips.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold hotel linens, towels, and uniforms per department standards
Treat stains, follow care labels, and handle delicate or specialty fabrics with proper technique
Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
Monitor chemical levels and equipment functionality, reporting issues promptly
Maintain accurate inventory of linens, uniforms, and supplies
Distribute and collect staff uniforms per schedule and roster
Ensure all uniforms are clean, pressed, and labeled appropriately
Track uniform issuance and returns, maintaining department records
Communicate with team members about uniform issues or replacement needs
Keep laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with health/safety standards
Assist with linen storage and rotation, avoiding overuse of stock
Support emergency or high-volume linen needs for guest rooms or spa
Qualifications
1+ year of laundry or housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel environment
Understanding of laundering procedures and fabric care
Ability to read and follow labels, instructions, and schedules
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule

Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas

Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
