With 517 refurbished rooms, 10 conference rooms, and multiple Food and Beverage outlets, the Culinary Team is on the lookout for a Full Time Commis Chef.

You are passionate, innovative, and growth-oriented Commis Chef with the ability to adapt and respond to special requests will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences that encourage guests to return again and again.

Job Description

Do you have a positive, can-do mindset, enjoy being part of a dedicated team, and have experience in a dynamic, high-volume kitchen environment? Then you might be the Chef we’re looking for!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the preparation and delivery of meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, banquets, and buffet offerings.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment while upholding HACCP and hygiene standards.
  • Complete tasks efficiently to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with stock rotation and control procedures to reduce waste and uphold cleanliness and food safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate your culinary passion by consistently delivering high-quality dishes that reflect creativity and precision.
  • Communicate with kitchen team members regarding special orders, delays, or adjustments in meal production.

Qualifications

  • A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Highly motivated by success, with a strong focus on achieving outstanding results.
  • A creative thinker with a genuine passion for food and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Prior experience in a high-energy kitchen or banqueting environment.
  • Solid technical skills and proficiency in a wide range of cooking methods and culinary styles.
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
  • Possession of a valid Food Safety Certificate is required.
  • Availability to work across a rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
