Mercure Alice Springs is seeking a passionate Housekeeping Manager located in the Heart of Australia.
Job Description
As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with overseeing housekeeping operations and will demonstrate the essence of creating an exceptional guest journey. You are committed to taking care of the guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure.
What you will be doing:
- Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed
- Handle guest requests, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
- Implement, effectively, all Housekeeping policies and procedures
- Support departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular checks of all areas of the property to ensure that all facilities are being cleaned and maintained according to Work Health and Safety regulations
- Controlling of all housekeeping inventory, including chemicals, linen and supplies
- Provide on going training and support to the Housekeeping Team.
Salary: 73,348 - $74,000
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Exceptional attention to detail with previous Hotel Housekeeping Leadership experience
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example
- Demonstrable knowledge of safe and efficient housekeeping procedures.
