Job Description

We are currently seeking a Casual Chef to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. You will be working across a variety of shifts including breakfast, conferences or dinner.

This is a great role for someone studying cookery and wanting some experience in a kitchen or for an experienced cook wanting some extra hours.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Prepare, cook and serve food for the breakfast buffet showing variety and flair
  • Prepare food for our all day dining and cafe
  • Prepare and cook food as per menu 
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures 
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Cook is required to wash all dishes during service 
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager.

 

Qualifications

Your Skills and experience include:

  • Experience in an a la carte kitchen service preferred
  • Deliver consistent, high quality food while maintaining set food cost
  • Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests
  • Have great communication skills & a positive attitude
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Have willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests
