Company Description
Sofitel Singapore City Centre, an iconic hotel which opens in October 2017 will form part of a mixed-use development at Tanjong Pagar Centre, a multi-billion dollar development, which will become Singapore’s tallest building at 290 meters set around landscaped parkland and direct MRT station access.
The 223-room Sofitel Singapore City Centre will offer chic designed rooms, 4 Food and Beverage options, a ballroom, and several meeting rooms, fitness and pool facilities.
Qualifications
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet the guest following the Sofitel standards, manage the taxi queue, and assist guests with luggage.
- Provide a warm welcome and farewell to the guests, leading them to the right direction/ location (e.g. Reception)
- Ensure that guest luggage and belongings are well recorded and promptly send/collected to/from the room
- Assist with car/ hotel doors and guest luggage.
- Ensure timely delivery of all guest luggage
- Explain technology and features of guest rooms.
- Exercise care and responsibility when parking guest vehicles. Follow procedures set out in manual.
- Ensure knowledge of daily departing time of due-out guests and arrangements for taxi, shuttle arrangements and limousine services to the airport if required.
- Co-ordinate VIP arrivals and departures.
- Provide information pertaining to all hotel services, local places of interests, restaurants, doctors, sightseeing tours and any other information likely to be of the interest to guests.
- Always double confirm with the guest the exact location.
Additional Information
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably including 5 star experience
- Projects professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills.
- Desire and ability to train and develop ambassador
- Multi-lingual, English essential § Maintains awareness of industry trends in service, product and presentation
- Initiates contacts and establishes rapport easily
- Organises time and work efficiently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Appreciates and maintains an effective outlet for stress
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as part of the job role.
- Has the aptitude and willingness to undertake further development with Sofitel.
