BODA, which is located on the top floor of Mövenpick Hotel Auckland, is looking for 2x Commis Chef, to be a part of the team and contribute in the delivery of modern Asian culinary styles with a New Zealand twist.

Job Description

As our next Commis Chef, you will:

  • Prepare and cook all food items in specific section with sense of urgency
  • Monitor food preparation and wastage cost by following efficient preparation methods and standard recipes
  • Have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a busy kitchen
  • Cleaning of your work section, temperature control and keeping of records
  • Be diligent and adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirement

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in a similar position
  • Prior experience in hotels is preferred but not required
  • Passion for great food and customer focused
  • Cool and calm under pressure
  • Strong team player with the ability to fit into a tight-knit team
