Job Description

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Provide leadership and direction to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Supervise, train, and mentor engineering staff, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Maintenance and Repair:

    • Coordinate and oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the hotel.
    • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify any issues or potential problems, and implement proactive maintenance measures as needed.
  • Project Management:

    • Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including renovations, upgrades, and installations.
    • Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budgetary constraints.
  • Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards, including those related to fire safety, building codes, and environmental regulations.
    • Implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program, including regular training, inspections, and emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control:

    • Develop and manage the engineering department budget, ensuring that expenses are within budgetary limits and that resources are allocated effectively.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, and implement strategies to optimize operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Proven experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
