Job Description
As Operations Manager, you will:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all areas of the hotel, including Front Office, Reservations, Night Audit, Housekeeping to ensure that standards are maintained in these areas.
- Lead and mentor FO team to achieve business goals and uphold service excellence.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager to implement strategies for revenue growth and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences by maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Monitor and manage budgets, stock, and operational expenses.
- Act as a leader during peak service times, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience in a hotel – a strong focus and passion for hotel operations
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all types of guests and of team members
- Confident and articulate communicator, negotiator, and relationship builder
- Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change
- Available to work within a rotating roster, including weekends, holidays and nights
- Strong working knowledge of Opera/ Opera Cloud, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Guest obsessed focus with the ability to flex in a fast paced and ever changing environment
- Leadership qualities, with the ability to extend yourself to assisting your colleagues where needed, maintaining high levels of communication with other departments
- Hold a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- Sound knowledge of hospitality operations, financial management, and compliance.
