Job Description

The Banquet Barback is required to set up and break down all bar set-ups as requested by guests.

  • Replenish wine, liquor and beer as requested by bartenders.
  • Replenish glassware and garnished as requested by bartenders
  • Bus all used glassware during functions to maintain cleaned and tidy appearance in function and meeting rooms.
  • Assist in preparing drinks in absence of bartender.
  • Open multiple bottle of wine for banquet dinner service as instructed by bartender
  • Inventory control of glassware
  • Break down all bar set-ups, returning wine, beer, liquor and soda to locked storage.

Qualifications

  • Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Knowledge of banquet protocol.
  • Able to speak and read English fluently.
  • Thorough knowledge of wine, liquor, and beer.
  • Knowledge of inventory control.
  • Familiarity with cocktail ingredients.
