Batman's Hill on Collins is a 4-star Accor hotel in Melbourne, offering an ideal city stay for corporate, leisure and group travel guests. We are conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, right opposite Southern Cross Station. Along with 190 guest rooms, we offer our guests and visitors a fully equipped conference centre with multiple function spaces, two restaurants and a lounge bar.

We are looking for an energetic and reliable Houseperson to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will support the housekeeping team so that we always provide a well-presented space for our guests. This role is paid at the award rate of $24.98 per hour plus penalties on weekends and public holidays. 

Job Description

  • Ensure all housekeeping pantries are fully stocked with guest amenities
  • Ensure towels and linen are refilled, replaced and stored correctly
  • Report maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
  • Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are followed
  • Cleaning of public area spaces

Qualifications

What we are looking for

  • Available to work 30 hours per week on a rotating roster including weekends
  • Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail, taking pride in the presentation of the hotel
  • Able to work in a physically demanding role which includes lifting and carrying, moving trolleys and using stairs
  • Experience in housekeeping is preferred, and hotel experience is an advantage
  • As this is a part time position, you must have current working rights in Australia.  We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
