Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Be responsible for assisting the team with high quality of food preparation and presentation for all service periods
•Exposure to a variety of service styles including a la carte, buffet, room service and functions
•Rotation through a range of kitchens including restaurant, events and pastry
•Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
•Flexible approach in adapting to guest requests
•Liaise with Food and Beverage Attendants
•Preparation of food and mise en place
•Work according to a daily production sheet
•Keep close control of portion size and wastage
•Be actively involved in learning your trade.
•After service clean all equipment and working area
Qualifications
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
•A passion for food and cooking
•Reliable, punctual and have an eye for detail
•Currently studying or enrolled to study in 2024/2025
•A willingness to learn and take instruction from experienced Chefs
•Ability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
•Full working rights in Australia
