We are on the lookout for a dedicated Front Office Manager who will help lead our Front Office Department and provide memorable guest experiences at the best destination lifestyle-luxury hotel in New Zealand! 

Job Description

THE ROLE

  • Management of the day-to-day operation of Front Office department (which includes the Receptionist, Concierge, Night Team)
  • A focus on guest relations, team management, budgeting, and driving performance
  • Collaborate with other departments in the Hotel to establish and maintain excellent guest experience
  • Ensuring that 5 star service standards are maintained in these areas, profitability maximized and customer’s needs met.
  • Motivate and empower team members to problem solve and surprise our guests
  • Passion for coaching and training staff in all aspects of their role particularly with a customer service focus
  • Understanding of Health & Safety policies of the hotel, ensuring that they are adhered to by guests and employees for a safe hotel environment

Qualifications

THE PERSON

  • Experience within a Front Office Leadership role (minimum Assistant FOM or Senior DM level)
  • Experience within 5 star luxury hotels locally or/and internationally
  • Bachelor Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management (NZ or international equivalent) highly advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of PMS system - Opera Cloud and supporting Micros systems
  • Holds a current New Zealand Managers Certificate License
  • Holds a current Full New Zealand Drivers License
  • Hold a current New Zealand First Aid Certificate
  • Passion for high-end hospitality with an absolute eye for detail
  • A demonstrated ability to build warm relationships and gain trust at all levels
