Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury-free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
  • Be the Quality and Safety contact for all Engineering staff, promoting a culture that ensures safety and compliance as the company’s number one priority
  • Ensure that the Director of Engineering is kept properly informed on safety and quality matters
  • Actively participates in Safety Review Meetings and Safety Action Groups
  • Monitor current and proposed relevant legislation and update the Director of Engineering on any changes
  • Actively seek to identify hazards and potential hazards - and safely manage them
  • Actively encourage proactive safety reporting and Just Culture
  • Issue, renew, revoke, suspend, or restrict Certification Authorization
  • Be responsible for the production, coordination, and management of a yearly audit schedule
  • Ensure safety and quality audit findings are responded to promptly and associated remedial and corrective actions are planned
  • Ensure the adequacy of Engineering procedures in providing maintenance services 
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Engineering

  •  Ability to work independently with little direction. 
  •  Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of the organization.
  •  Ability to report and present information.
