Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury-free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
- Be the Quality and Safety contact for all Engineering staff, promoting a culture that ensures safety and compliance as the company’s number one priority
- Ensure that the Director of Engineering is kept properly informed on safety and quality matters
- Actively participates in Safety Review Meetings and Safety Action Groups
- Monitor current and proposed relevant legislation and update the Director of Engineering on any changes
- Actively seek to identify hazards and potential hazards - and safely manage them
- Actively encourage proactive safety reporting and Just Culture
- Issue, renew, revoke, suspend, or restrict Certification Authorization
- Be responsible for the production, coordination, and management of a yearly audit schedule
- Ensure safety and quality audit findings are responded to promptly and associated remedial and corrective actions are planned
- Ensure the adequacy of Engineering procedures in providing maintenance services
- Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Engineering

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to deliver on complex, multi-faceted programs.
