Job Description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

1.1.1    Reports for duty on time, in proper uniform and signs attendance sheet in and out daily
1.1.2    Receives work assignment and supplies from Supervisor, signs for the key in key-log (received and returned) and is responsible for the key in his/her possession
1.1.3    Cleans the lobby, dust/mops floors, dusts furniture, wipes tables, polishes brass, clean ashtrays, disposes garbage and cleans the heart-of-house areas as per the standards set.
1.1.4    Carries out special work as and when assigned.
1.1.5    Spots and vacuums carpet in restaurant and public areas as per scheduled time
1.1.6    Dusts walls, counters, telephones and fixtures
1.1.7    Cleans guest lifts, brass, mirrors, walls and carpets periodically.
1.1.8    Makes sure the storeroom is clean and tidy
1.1.9    Makes sure cleaning equipment is clean, well maintain and properly stored
1.1.10    Advises Supervisor of any repairs or maintenance work required.
1.1.11    Reports all broken or out-of-order items to Supervisor immediately.
1.1.12    Deposits all Lost and Found articles in Housekeeping office immediately.
1.1.13    When assigned, services public toilets.
1.1.14     Adheres to safety regulations.
1.1.15    Regularly checks ashtrays, guest lifts, and public washrooms.
1.1.16    Picks-up any litter from corridors and pathways.
1.1.17     Empties waste bin in all assigned areas.
1.1.18     Attends and participates in continuous training programs
1.1.19     Assists in implementing emergency procedures when requested.
1.1.20     Assume responsibilities on work delegated by Executive Housekeeper.
1.1.21     Adheres to all hotel policies and procedures.
1.1.22     To promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy and an extremely high standard  of social skills. 
1.1.23     To demonstrate good work etiquette and strict adherence to set standards.
1.1.24     To generally promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations.
1.1.25     To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
1.1.26     To demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times   
1.1.27     To adhere to company and hotel rules and regulations at all times. 
1.1.28    To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.
1.1.29    To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
1.1.30    To maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all other departments.
1.1.31    To ensure you read the hotel’s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
1.1.32    To comply with local legislation as required.
1.1.33    To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
1.1.34    To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
1.1.35    To attend training and meetings as and when required.
 

Qualifications

High school  with 01 Year Experinence in same field
