Job Description

Fully integrated into the Global Procurement Department, the Retail Procurement Manager, Global Category Management will be responsible for the procurement activities related to the e-retail business and for the supplier’s brands products negotiation on specific categories.

The successful candidate will be able to conduct strategic negotiations and manage the categories he/she is responsible for in several countries.

Main responsabilities :

Retail Business Understanding

Together with the e-retail team, analyze the categories currently sold per brand and region

Define a plan to increase the spend of hard bedding nominated suppliers

Identify opportunities of new categories to be included in these programs and grow revenues

Identifying the Needs, Setting and Implementing a Strategy

Closely work with L+L Procurement and PME Marketing teams to gather new needs per brand

Alignment with PME Regional Procurement teams to verify if new needs can be delivered by current local suppliers

Own and propose a strategy for FF&E retail business

Develop and define sourcing strategies for FF&E categories that would apply to these programs

Run global, regional and/or local tenders when needed for specific products to be included in any program

Appoint suppliers with local manufacturing sites

Ease, formulate and deliver the category strategy, the understanding of drivers and market forces

Suppliers Management & Market Knowledge

Manage international contracts

Secure sustainable partnership with strategic suppliers

Accountable for category suppliers’ management (governance and business review)

Ensure the best commercial conditions in the market

Ease business and market intelligence

Support Category Visibility

Support and actively promote the group procurement function

Able to sell solutions internally and externally

Develop category communities for all regions

Communicate, co-operate, involve and align category strategy with key stakeholders

Engage and secure open dialogues with stakeholders

Communicate spend, remuneration and capture rate of the categories contracts

Compliance and Transversal Projects

Lead successfully ESG and compliance projects

Inflation/deflation reporting and tracking

Manage, report and follow remuneration process: budget, forecasts, declarations, spend, capture rate and payments

Responsible for the budget achievement related to their categories

Track sales figures of retail business

Track remuneration figures obtained by retail business

Crosscheck remuneration and sales data are compliant with each other

Track KPIs implementation to monitor category performance and adoption

Ensure 100% of own suppliers comply to Accor ESG compliance processes

Ensure supplier selection respects GPO Source to Contract Process

Major stakes : 

Demonstrate agility and resilience to changes

Lead at an international level the FF&E portfolio (suppliers, hotels, customers)

Maintain and improve global performance (contract, data, suppliers)

Be able to develop the relationship with all regions, countries, divisions, brands and customers to increase compliance

Develop leadership with internal/external customers to satisfy their expectations by increasing business opportunities worldwide

Position is international, and requires to deal with many stakeholders

Manage market uncertainty

 

 

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related field

+2 years of experience in procurement with an international background

Awareness of distribution, BtB, BtC or e-commerce

Relevant work experience in negotiation

Contract management

Hospitality experience is a plus

MS Office mastery (Excel, PPT, Word)

Ability to listen, understand and influence customers’ needs (stakeholders and hotels)

Able to work in international environment

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Personal integrity and strong work ethics

Problem solver – uses facts and logic to find solutions

Adaptable – learns quickly, is curious, takes risks, enjoys challenges and deals well with ambiguity

Language: Fluent English (for daily working), French is a plus
