Description du poste
Accor is currently looking for a lawyer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join the Legal Commercial and Procurement team in its Europe and North Africa (ENA) hub. You will report directly to the Director Legal Counsel Procurement ENA.
You will join a growing and dynamic team working on all Commercial and Procurement Agreements across the region. You will focus your efforts on Accor’s Premium, Midscale & Economy branded hotels.
You will assist with negotiating contracts in support of Accor’s legal commercial and procurement activity for the Europe and North Africa Hub. You will ensure that contracts are concluded in accordance with applicable laws and you will offer counsel on legal issues relating to commercial and procurement activities.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Handle comprehensive and independent tasks and cases from the entire field of commercial law in ENA
• Provide legal advice to various internal departments (procurement, sales, marketing, digital, etc.) located in ENA. Draft and negotiate commercial and procurement agreements (listing contracts, sales contracts, service agreements, partnerships, etc.). Independent management of legal correspondence with internal departments and external contractual and negotiating partners, in particular with legal advisors/lawyers of the contractual partners
• Assist with developing and sharing know-how in particular by producing template agreements
• Monitor and advise on legislative changes and communicate as appropriate
• Legal research
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION / COMPETENCIES:
Hard skills:
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements to meet the business needs.
• Interest in and understanding of economic contexts, in particular, with view to sales, IT and procurement contracts. Experience on a variety of commercial legal matters, ideally with experience in handling procurement, sales, marketing, loyalty, e-commerce and digital agreements.
Soft skills:
• Solution provider with pragmatic judgment, strong business acumen and ability to determine the significance of legal matters. High attention to detail.
• Excellent team player with intellectual curiosity and willingness to explore new legal issues and solutions.
• The ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including optimism, diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at many different levels, customers and business partners to work effectively in a cross-functional/multi-cultural global teams.
• High-quality standards of own work.
• Ability to work independently and to make legally sound decisions.
• Ability to work:
- with multi-disciplinary teams, including but not limited to procurement, sales, marketing, loyalty, IT and distribution.
- with a multicultural legal team working across countries and legislations with cross-functional projects.
Language:
• French and English – fluent/business-level.
• Fluency in a second foreign language is a plus
EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
• Law degree or equivalent Legal Executive qualification; and
• Previous experience in Legal Commercial and Procurement roles.
• 3 to 6 years PQE (or comparable jurisdiction) commercial or technology transactional experience at a reputable law firm and/or comparable in-house experience.
• Good understanding of commercial law.
