Job Description
Overall scope :
As part of its digital transformation, Accor is looking for a passionate, curious and talented Product Manager to manage a portfolio of websites and platforms dedicated to professional customers (travel agencies, companies, meeting planners). You will be supported by a team of product owners under your responsibility.
You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.
Functional perimeter:
You will drive the strategy for products dedicated to professional customers, including travel agencies, companies, and meeting planners. Existing products include three websites, dedicated for each of these customer type, and a loyalty platform dedicated to travel agencies. This perimeter may evolve based on the strategy built to address these customers needs and potential business opportunities for Accor. Our vision is to build a coherent marketing, loyalty & booking ecosystem for professional buyers.
You will report to the Product Tribe Lead, in charge of a wider perimeter of product built for professionals, Accor Sales teams and hotels, around the B2B business.
Product Manager – Role description:
The Product Owner oversees the creation of product/use case roadmaps and defines the overall strategic vision, driven by the overall vision of Accor. They have a deep understanding of the target market/industry and build close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the teams’ effort is aligned with overall strategy. A Product Manager manages dependencies between the feature teams that fall under their scope and with other feature teams while identifying, building and
managing strategic partnerships. Product Managers can sometimes act as PO for one of the teams.
In particular, the Product Manager:
- Translates business strategy into product strategy
- Manages priorities according to overall strategy and other teams’ dependencies
- Builds, documents, executes the tribe roadmap
- Guarantee appropriate communication media to promote Product evolution
- Measure/tailor the activity towards reaching KPIs and OKRs
- Participates actively in the yearly Digital Factory roadmap process and ensure update of coherent backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead for the FT
- Works closely with Product Owners and Tribe lead to establish business value and support messaging and communication to leaders as necessary
- Understand market, customers, digital trends and take them into account to build the roadmap.
- Ensures collaboration of POs with stakeholders (POs and tribe leads from other tribes and domains) to ensure coherent digital vision and products alignment within team strategy and requirements, in that context proposes, follows and updates OKRs that provide a shared-vision framework with stakeholders
- Maintains the consistency of methodology, tools and processes across the FT
- Maintain a close monitoring over the Run activities: ensure The Run does not get superseded by the Build activities.
- Acts as a gatekeeper for up-to-date reporting on the portfolio from design to production and release
- Shares ideas and best practices with other domains / tribes and intelligently escalates and proposes remediation solutions to the tribe lead
- Oversees the development of new products
- Manages the marketing and enhancement of existing products.
- Communicate the product vision to ensure product delivery is aligned with strategy.
- Support organization wide product training and enablement, contributing to the articulation of product value propositions, go to market strategy, pricing and impact to messaging for delivering products/services
- Influences direct and indirect peers to grow the Organisation all together
- Runs the last mile to reach out to other Divisions when it comes to optimise the ways of working
- Manages relationships with Partners and Providers which Accor procures services from.
- Manages relationships with Partners and Consumers who consume the Tribes services.
- Keeps permanent inter-relationships with Programs and Projects which will depend on the tribes services for their achievements.
Qualifications
- Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor
- Excellent negotiation and diplomatic skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort in speaking with senior leaders
- Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Fluent in French and English
- Scrum Master, Product Owner certification (or equivalent) is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in digital, product management, consulting, project management
