Job Description

API is looking for a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to join our growing company.

The LMS Administrator is a member of the Programming team, responsible for providing technical support for the learning management system. In consultation and collaboration with internal and external teams, partners and subject matter experts, LMS Admin will deliver administrative updates and reporting, perform enrollment management tasks and optimize the course-building experience for the programming team, while maintaining a user-friendly, front-facing experience for students.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve LMS processes and user requests 

  • Communicate with software engineers regarding back-end LMS processes

  • Liaise with subject matter experts across a variety of disciplines and global backgrounds, regarding LMS needs and capabilities

  • Collaborative among internal teams, including software engineers, curriculum developers, and instructional designers 

  • Manage a variety of projects under tight deadlines that are happening simultaneously 

  • Analyze assessment and engagement data analytics for continued improvement of instructional spaces

  • Contribute to LMS accessibility efforts for a variety of learner needs and accommodations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education/instructional technology

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in LMS administration, educational/instructional technology, distance learning, or related field, preferably in higher and/or international education

  • Knowledge of multiple LMS systems and their capabilities

  • International experience: study, living, and/or working abroad
