Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Medical Care Coordinator is a critical support role within the Medical Department. This individual will serve as the primary resource for a team of Medical Care Coordinators, assist with auditing complex case workflows, and help ensure consistency, quality, and compliance goals are met across the team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, understands workers’ compensation processes, and is passionate about improving systems and supporting team development.

 

Qualifications

· 1+ years of experience in workers’ compensation, personal injury, or medical case coordination

· Prior experience supporting or mentoring team members strongly preferred

· Familiarity with case management systems and high-volume workflows

Key Responsibilities

· Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to a team of approximately 8–10 Medical Care Coordinators

· Assist with identifying and escalating issues to help drive case progression

· Review team inboxes and workload to ensure timely handling

· Track team productivity and compliance through case management systems and audits with the goal of providing actionable feedback

· Support onboarding and training of new Medical Care Coordinators

· Provide coverage during team member absences to ensure continuity of service

· Assist team members in providing process updates to clients as applicable

Skills & Competencies

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

· High attention to detail and accuracy in case handling

· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

· Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
