Associate Specialist, Human Resources Business Partner - Digital & Technology A&F Co.

Job Description 

As a member of the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team, you will work across all aspects of human resources including, but not limited to, associate relations, workforce planning, organizational development, talent acquisition and compensation. Working with associates at multiple levels, you will be a day-to-day point of contact for all inquiries, questions, and associate conversations. An A&F Co. HRBP is expected to prioritize the role of talent in achieving the company’s strategic priorities. Highly cross functional, the HRBP will work across partners within human resources, related business units, finance, legal and others. 

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

 

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Understand the digital & technology’s goals, objectives and processes and the associate profile, skillset and development needed to achieve.  

  • Meet with the business - bubble up key themes of feedback/storylines/pulse to HRBP lead for their own touchpoints with the business.  

  • Provide guidance and coaching to associates at multiple levels of the organization. Coach, counsel, and guide supervisors regarding associate interactions. 

  • Partner with recruiting at various stages of the candidate lifecycle (job intakes, interviews, business correspondence, offers etc.). 

  • Assist in managing resourcing and staffing strategy through close partnership with HRBP lead and the business on turnover, transfers, retention, promotions and succession planning. 

  • Support organizational design and assist leaders through structural shifts, destination org work, business re-alignment & general org chart maintenance/architecture. 

  • Manage scheduling, coordination and training support for intern and full time Leadership Development programs. 

  • Input associate information into various HRIS systems (PeopleSoft) and analyze data, pull associate information to inform decisions.  

  • Assist in all aspects of the annual Performance Review and bi-annual Talent Review processes including updating talent tools, analyzing data, arrogating information, reporting and calibrating with leadership. 

  • Partner with compensation on job offers, internal promotions, and compensation actions needed. 

  • Stay highly curious and connected to the associate perspective, external trends in the industry and beyond as it relates to talent management, practices, policies; as well as our customer insights. 

  • Support the immigration team producing needed data and resources, while working to understand the immigration process.  

  • Assist in any other special project related to the function (roles and responsibilities, title exercises, remote work, etc.).  

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience  

  • 1+ years of HR experience preferred (or related experience with project and people management) 

  • Passion for Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Brands 

  • Interest in the retail and/or tech industry is a plus  

  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of internal and external customers 

  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills 

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality 

  • Excellent organizational skills 

  • Knowledge of human resources management systems a plus
