Job Description 

We are looking for a Vice President of Retail to lead across all aspects of our omni-enabled retail fleet, with responsibility for the strategic leadership and execution for all stores management, talent development, operational processes, and business deliverables for all Abercrombie & Fitch Co. brands across the EMEA region. The leader will set a strategic vision for our stores, ensuring ever-evolving and elevated, customer-led experiences are coupled with best-in-class operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic organization, excels at connecting with people, drives business results and builds teams of people who are aligned to a purpose.   

This role is based in London and will report to the Managing Director of EMEA also based in London, England.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Put the customer at the heart of all aspects of our stores to delight them with our brand experiences. 
  • Empower and motivate a high-performing field-based team to deliver best-in-class engagement levels, including cascading content and priorities so the team can thrive! 
  • Provide strategic direction to deliver constant evolution of all retail store operations from inception to delivery. 
  • Oversee work force planning and champion talent management and development. 
  • Leverage key retail metrics, identifying opportunities & risks and creating prioritized strategic initiatives to drive growth & business results.  
  • Shape and deliver channel 4-wall P&L budgets & forecasts considering tradeoffs that best deliver strategic priorities.  
  • Partner closely with real estate teams to validate & prioritize opportunities and ensure successful fleet development. 
  • Develop productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution across the full 360° landscape of retail-led initiatives with emphasis on marketing activations, product assortment, and digital / omni capabilities. 
  • As a member of the EMEA leadership team, actively participate in cross-functional EMEA playbook and go-to-market strategy as we expand across geographies and business models. 

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in Retail Management in Europe 
  • Experience working in an iconic, branded environment for an international organization 
  • A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve the vision of the brand 
  • Leads with confidence and a respectful approach 
  • Successful track record in building and maintaining relationships 
  • Strong orientation to quality, continuous improvement, and customer service 
  • Extreme curiosity and desire to learn 
  • Experience in working cross-functionally and dealing with ambiguity  
  • Excels under pressure; ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to thrive in team-based settings 
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
