What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Design and develop integration solutions: The Senior Integrations Engineer is responsible for designing and developing integration solutions that enable seamless communication between different systems and applications. They need to understand the systems and applications involved and develop integration solutions that are scalable, efficient, and secure.
  • Collaborate with different teams: The Senior Integrations Engineer needs to collaborate with different teams, including software developers, business analysts, project managers, and support teams, to understand their needs and requirements. They need to work closely with these teams to ensure that the integration solutions they develop meet their needs.
  • Test and validate integration solutions: The Senior Integrations Engineer needs to test and validate integration solutions to ensure that they work as expected. They need to use a variety of testing tools and techniques to identify and fix any issues that arise during the testing process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues: The Senior Integrations Engineer needs to be able to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with integration solutions. They need to have a deep understanding of the systems and applications involved and be able to diagnose and fix problems quickly and effectively.
  • Document integration solutions: The Senior Integrations Engineer needs to document the integration solutions they develop, including their design, development, testing, and implementation. They need to ensure that the documentation is clear, concise, and up-to-date.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends: The Senior Integrations Engineer needs to stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the field of integration. They need to be aware of emerging technologies and best practices and incorporate them into their work as appropriate.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers: The Senior Integrations Engineer needs to mentor and train junior engineers on integration technologies, best practices, and processes. They need to help junior engineers develop their skills and become more effective in their roles.

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Proficiency in programming languages: Senior Integrations Engineer should be proficient Java/J2EE/Spring boot. They should be able to write code to develop custom integrations, APIs, and middleware solutions.
  • Knowledge of integration platforms: Senior Integrations Engineer should be well-versed in different integration platforms such as Sterling Business Integrator (SBI) and  Apache Camel. They should have experience working with these platforms and should be able to develop custom connectors and integration flows.
  • Experience with API development: Senior Integrations Engineer should have experience developing REST and SOAP APIs. They should be able to design and develop APIs that are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Understanding of databases: Senior Integrations Engineer should have a good understanding of databases and SQL. They should be able to design and develop database schemas and write SQL queries to extract data from databases. Exposure to NoSQL DBs like Mongo/Cosmos/Postgres.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing: Senior Integrations Engineer should have experience working with Microsoft Azure/Openshift/Kubernetes. They should be able to deploy and manage integration solutions in the cloud. Exposure to gitlab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of messaging protocols: Senior Integrations Engineer should have a good understanding of messaging protocols such as JMS & Confluent Kafka. They should be able to design and develop message-based integrations using these protocols.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns: Senior Integrations Engineer should be familiar with enterprise integration patterns such as Publish-Subscribe, Request-Reply, or Message Router. They should be able to apply these patterns to develop integration solutions.
