Job Description 

The primary responsibility of this leader is to lead an engineering team in our order management and fulfillment systems space.  Work cross-functionally with omni-channel teams to execute and deliver the order management and omni-channel experiences.  This leader must be able to drive forward technology goals and business objectives.  This leader should have a proven track record of working in a collaborative environment on challenging projects.  We expect this individual to have a strong balance of technical and business acumen to translate the business needs into technical solutions.   

 

This manager will partner closely with our many cross functional teams to deliver the best digital and store customer experience.  This individual should bring a high level of industry and platform expertise to offer best practices and support new ways of working for our teams. 

 

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Lead a team of 6-10 software engineers 
  • Partner with digital and omni-channel teams to define objectives and priorities 
  • Build and execute new features and capabilities while advancing technical roadmap 
  • Coach, mentor and drive engineering advocacy and efficiency 
  • Drive a vision towards automation and continuous Integration and continuous delivery 
  • Support transition to full autonomous teams through development CI/CD pipelines and building test automation into the pipelines 
  • Support Customer Journey Evolution, sizing, defining the work and roadmap to deliver 
  • Monitor and measure the health of team, code base, and progress towards vision state  
  • Work with other engineering managers to share best practices and promote continuous improvement 
  • Assist during the budgeting and planning process  

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • 8-15 years of experience in the digital engineering space: implementing digital platforms/solutions, and extensive experience with order management concepts and technologies 
  • Demonstrated expertise in Agile Methodology 
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in CI/CD development 
  • Advocate for test driven development and automation  
  • Experience managing teams of 6-12 people 
  • Experience with Global brands desired 
  • Passion for solving complex problems 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Proven track record of hiring, onboarding, and upskilling 
  • Experience with IBM Sterling Order Management useful 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening skills. 
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Attention to detail and flexibility in work assignments. 
  • Ability to work in a team-orientated, collaborative, and cross-functional environment
