Job Description 

Our A&F Co. Wholesale and Franchise team is seeking a skilled Associate Global Expansion Planning Analyst to support the development and execution of planning strategies for expansion into multiple retail channels and global locations. A successful candidate will work closely with the Strategy and Merchandise Planning Manager and cross-functional partners to develop seasonal merchandise plans and forecasts for all product categories.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Support the development and implementation of a merchandise planning strategy that supports the company's expansion into multiple retail channels and global locations.
  • Collaborate with Strategy and Merchandise Planning Manager to develop seasonal merchandise plans and forecasts for all product categories.
  • Assist with the analysis of historical sales trends, global market trends, and customer data to inform strategic planning decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between merchandise plans and supply chain capabilities, financial plans, and merchandising strategies.
  • Support the development of assortment plans that align with the merchandise planning strategy.
  • Help manage inventory levels across all channels and locations to ensure optimal inventory turns and profitability.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to optimize product pricing and promotional strategies to drive sales and margin.
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics, making recommendations for adjustments to the merchandise strategy as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in merchandise planning.

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field or related experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning or related field, with a desire to develop and execute strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with retail math and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI experience a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and interest to learn about customer profiles differ across global markets and cultures.
